Please dress according to the weather, that’s it. And – alright – sometimes it rains in Denmark. But unless in the event of a natural disaster, we will carry out the tours, so we expect you to dress appropriately for the current weather. We do have a few sets of rainwear in case you forgot.
Copenhageners bike in everything from wedding dresses to swimsuits so feel free to wear what you feel is comfortable.
Yes you can. We bike in a pace 99% of all people can endure, and we have many breaks.
You can opt for an e-bike, that will make it a little easier if you have difficulties.
In some cases, we have had participants with broken legs (and similar) who were transported in a cargo bike by a good friend.
It’s always perfect bike weather in Copenhagen.
The tour is still on, and disliking the weather is not a legit reason for a refund.
(In the extremely rare cases where the weather is dangerous, we will contact you for reschedule or refund.)
Yes we do. You can rent a cargo bike and give your companion a royal tour around copenhagen.
If you want a guided tour we will highly recomment a private tour.
Yes we can.
We can make a boat tour, serve champagne, make a whole day architecture study tour, take you to Aarhus or Malmö, arrange a camel back stag party, or …
See the pages about Custom Made Tours or Architecture Study Tours.
Yes you can. Please check this page: Private Tours.
Yes, you can. Our public tours are primarily aimed at bigger kids riding a bike on their own. A small child can participate in a child seat, but we have very limited options to make longer unplanned stops.
Our Christiania cargo bikes are also a great option for a private tour at a slower pace and with additional stops for ice cream.
For families with smaller children, we recommend booking a private tour. e.g. our pre-programmed “Mini-Arch-Tour”.
First and foremost it’s such a shame, that you can’t join the tour after all!
Reasons for cancellations can be good or sometimes less good, but we’re not assessing the quality of reasons. It’s all a matter of time for us to have a chance to resell your spot.
Please take a look at our terms and conditions for details.
You park it across the street from the shop (on Admiralgade), make sure it’s proper locked and put the key through the mail slot in our door.
Anything that can be squeezed through the mail slot when the shop is closed – do it!
Just leave the helmet on the bike. There’s not a huge risk of helmets getting stolen in Copenhagen.
We only offer full day rent.
If you only want to rent the bike for a few hours you can rent it for a day and return it earlier, or you can find an app for citybikes.
If you are participating on a guided tour starting and ending in Fortunstræde 1 you can leave stuff (except children and dogs!) in the shop, that will be locked if nobody’s there.
If you are renting bikes you can’t get your stuff back until we reopen, so you might lose it forever.
For strollers you can maybe borrow a bicycle chainlock to secure the stroller outside (please remove child before leaving it).
No.
What if it’s broken?
Still no. You’ll have to bring the bike back to the shop.
(If we were to provide that kind of service the price for rental would be much much higher!)
If the shop is open you are of course welcome to come to the shop with the bike, and we will solve the problem, often by changing the bike to a new one.
We can’t pick up the bike somewhere else, and we can’t fix a technical problem outside the shop.
(If we were to offer this service the price for rental would be much much higher.)
As stated in the Terms and Conditions you as the hirer are liable for damages and in case the bike gets stolen or lost, for an amount up to the value of a new bike:
All bikes come with high quality locks.
In most cases rented bikes are covered by your travel insurance, and we suggets that you contact your insurance company immediately.
If we don’t answer the phone while the shop is open, it’s because we are talking to customers in the shop, or because we are out on a guided tour. Try again later, or send an email to info@becopenhagen.dk
Copenhagen is not famous for extravagant landmarks, but excels in the everyday marvels, and often hailed as one of the world’s most liveable capitals. We are renowned for our exceptional and unique cycling infrastructure making it easy and enjoyable to get around.
Human-centred architecture and urban planning shape the frames of everyday life, where the city offers inviting public spaces.
Copenhageners use their city as an urban living room. Public zones along the water front, carefuly designed edge zones around buildings, and unwalled school playgrounds are all examples of a trustful city planning, and illustates the safety and social security that makes Copenhagen a city to be experienced not only gazing up a historic masterpiece but in the streets where we live.
Write an email and send it to info@becopenhagen.dk and we will reply as soon as possible.
Experience Copenhagen through the eyes of a local urbanist, as we uncover the city’s transformation from its industrial past to the most liveable city in the world.

We took the Contemporary Architecture tour by bicycle with Alice and it was everything I was hoping for.
This tour will open your eyes to the architecture and history of Copenhagen and get you out of the congested city center and into a wide range of neighborhoods
We took the Modern Architecture tour (more than four hours) and though there was only the two of us because another party had changed their booking, lovely Alice gave it her all.
I would highly recommend this bike tour. A must do while in Copenhagen! We went on the 3 hour bike tour with our two children ages 12 and 15. Wonderful for the whole family.
