Explore the bold vision and iconic design that transformed a polluted industrial harbor into the World Capital of Architecture. Instead of basic sightseeing, we discover how world-class buildings and “fun” urban spaces actually change how people live and play in the most liveable city on earth.

Our journey takes us from the harbor’s dramatic revival at the Black Diamond and BLOX to the futuristic, experimental landscapes of Ørestad. We navigate the famous “Freetown” of Christiania and the city’s newest architectural landmarks: areas where radical design, secret green oasis, and a history of local activism reveal the true soul and creative DNA of Copenhagen.

Designed for confident cyclists, this 3-hour experience offers an expert-led look at how creative architecture and “hedonistic sustainability” turned Copenhagen into one of the world’s most exciting urban playgrounds.

  • Cycling Proficiency: This tour is conducted at a steady pace and involves crossing elevated bridges and navigating city traffic for 3 hours. It is only suitable for confident cyclists. That said, the route mainly follows bike routes, and avoids heavy car traffic.
  • Adult Themes: We discuss complex social issues, including drug policies, gentrification, and political riots. Please consider this when booking for younger teenagers.
  • Authentic Equipment: We use classic, understated Danish city bikes to ensure you blend in with local commuters.
  • Weather Policy: The tour runs in all weather conditions (rain or shine). Please dress accordingly; we provide high-quality rain ponchos if needed.
  • Punctuality: To respect the group’s schedule, we cannot wait for late arrivals. Please arrive at the shop 15 minutes before departure for bike fitting.
