Copenhagen History Tour

From Legend and Vikings to Present and Perfect

Available as Public and Private Tour
Copenhagen didn’t become the world’s happiest capital by accident. On this tour, published author and storyteller Hasse “Hassan” Sørensen connects the dots — from the first settlers after the ice withdrew, through Viking legend and royal ambition, all the way to the city’s obsession with public space and outstanding urban planning.

Most guided tours focus on the “how.” This one goes after the “why.” Expect jokes, surprises, the occasional gloriously weird saga, and a few “wait, really?” moments.
By the end you won’t just have seen Copenhagen. You’ll understand it.

You’ll be on tour with the guy who wrote “Vikingology” and explains how this special Danish mindset created the “trickle up economy” and a city where we leave strollers with sleeping infants on the pavement.

Cycling Proficiency: This tour is for confident cyclists. That said, the route mainly follows bike routes, and avoids heavy car traffic.
Authentic Equipment: We use classic, understated Danish city bikes to ensure you blend in with local commuters.
Weather Policy: The tour runs in all weather conditions (rain or shine). Please dress accordingly; we provide high-quality rain ponchos if needed.
Punctuality: To respect the group’s schedule, we cannot wait for late arrivals. Please arrive at the shop 15 minutes before departure for bike fitting.

What’s included

High quality local-style city bike (ride like a Copenhagener, not a tourist)
