To avoid battery theft, all E-Bikes must be returned in our opening hours: before 15:00 or after 9:30 next day (until 10:30).
If you keep the bicycle over night at your hotel, bring the battery to the hotel room for the night.
Christiania Cargo Bike – DKK 750
A Family "Car" on three wheels. Including light, lock, map and trip suggestions. Recommended for height 170-190 cm (5'5"-6'2"), 7 gears. No electric option. Max load 235 kg/518 lbs/37 stones.
All bikes are picked up from and returned to our shop at Hauser Plads 10, Copenhagen. When the shop is closed, park the bikes in the bike rack in front of the shop, lock them with all the locks, and put the keys and the loose accessories in the designated self-return box.
Free cancellation until 72 hours before
Booking: A bike is only booked once payment has gone through. While you pay online, we hold the bikes for 15 minutes. All prices include all taxes.
Rental days: A rental day runs until 09:30 the next morning. A three-day rental collected on Monday is due back by 09:30 on Thursday.
Pickup: At our shop at Hauser Plads 10. In opening hours, you can pick up the bikes at any time. Outside them, you pick them up at the time you chose when booking. Please bring photo ID: the name on it must match the name on the booking.
Return: If you return the bikes outside opening hours, park them in the bike rack in front of the shop and lock them with all the locks. Put the keys and the loose accessories in the designated self-return box. Then take a photo of the locked bikes and email it to return@becopenhagen.dk.
Cancelling: Free until 72 hours before 09:30 on the first day of your rental. Please cancel by email to rental@becopenhagen.dk. Less than 72 hours before, or if you do not come, the full price is charged. Weather is not a reason for a refund.
E-bikes: Please take the battery with you whenever you leave the e-bike unattended, and take it inside your hotel or accommodation overnight.
Range: Our regular adult bikes, kids’ bikes, cargo bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes are meant for cycling within about 20 to 30 km of Copenhagen. If you want to go further, we recommend our touring bikes.
Before you leave: Please check the tyre pressure, brakes, gears, bell, lights, locks and keys, and tell us about anything wrong with the bike.
Helmets: Available for every rider, at the price shown when you book or at the shop. They are not mandatory under Danish law, but we recommend them.
Damage and theft: You are responsible for damage, theft or loss, and may be charged up to the full value of a new bike. The amounts are in the full terms.

As an architect, he taught at the Aarhus School of Architecture and worked on various smaller building projects.
As an engineer, his line of work is structural engineering and he has a special affinity for timber structures.
