Do we need special clothing or equipment?

Do we need special clothing or equipment?

Only clothes according to weather. And – alright – sometimes it rains in Denmark. But unless in the event of a natural disaster we will carry out the tours, so we expect you to dress appropriately for the current weather. We do have a few sets of rain wear if you forgot – and for the record: never trust a Danish weather forecast!

Copenhageners bike in everything from ball dresses to swim suites, so feel free to wear what you feel is comfortable.

Can I cancel because I broke my leg?

Can I cancel because I broke my leg?

First and foremost it’s such a shame, that you can’t join the tour after all!

Public tours: Until 2 weeks before the tour, you can cancel and have a 50% refund – or request another date. After that, we can’t refund the ticket.

Private or custom tours: No refund after partial or full payment.
Please refer to our terms and conditions for details.

In case you broke your leg, we will be happy to help you find a rickshaw or another appropriate transportation so we can bring you on the tour anyway.

Please contact us on if you need help on this.

Can I bring luggage on the tour?

Can I bring luggage such as bags / suitcases / stamp collection / dog?

For your own comfort, we suggest that you bring as little luggage on the tour as possible. You may leave big or heavy stuff at our base camp which will be locked if no one is there.

You might want to bring your camera, wallet, jewellery and most important stamps from your collection in a bag that we offer for all bikes or me-movers.
But you’ll have to leave your dog at home … 🙁

Can I bring my kids on a bike tour?

Can I bring my kids?

Yes, PLEASE do so! Bike tours are much more kid-friendly than bus and boat tours.

BUT (important!): since we don’t know your kids and their skills on a bike, they will ALWAYS join on the responsibility and supervision of their parents. Helmets are included and recommended for all kids. Bring your kids on a Copenhagen bike tour

We consider our 2-hour Essential Copenhagen bike tour our more kids/family friendly tour. Bridges, water, old and new boats and ships, visually appealing vistas and almost entirely on bikes-only or quiet stretches.

Or you can bring up to four smaller kids in the classical Christiania cargo bike.

Alternatively, we can arrange a private tour just for you to go at a slow speed and on an, even more, child-friendly route.

Do I need to be athletic?

Do I need to be athletic? – and will I be sweating like a pig?

No. That is – unless you really want it…
Our bike tours are not fitness workouts. First of all, we take plenty of stops along the route, and we adjust the speed and challenges to make all guests on each tour feel comfortable.
That said, of course, we expect you to be fairly comfortable riding a bike. If you need to refresh your childhood skills, you can meet 30 minutes early and get the hang of our bikes.
On a really hot summer day you may expect a little damp, but you are very welcome to use our restroom and have a little wash after the tour.
