Multi-day tour of Danish Architecture

A big architecture firm visited their Danish office and travelled through Denmark to visit a variety of projects and cities with visits in buildings, exhibitions and museums.

Architect and guide, Asser Munch, lead the tour and did most general and specific presentations.

Day 1
  • Meet & greet at Copenhagen Airport
  • Visit local office with a presentation of ongoing projects and lunch
  • Sundbyøsterhallen II (Dorthe Mandrup)

  • Royal Hotel (Arne Jacobsen)
    Inside visit and presentation. Visit in suite 606 with original furniture
  • Dinner in Meat Packing District
Day 2 (Funen – Jutland)
  • Sorø Art Museum (Lundgaard & Tranberg) Visit and presentation of the new exhibition building
  • Fiberline in Middelfart (KHR/Jan Søndergaard) Visit, presentations of production building and their line of composite building materials
  • Lunch
  • Bridge walk crossing Lillebælt (Little Belt sound)
  • Heart – Herning Museum of Contemporary Art (Steven Holl) Visit,  presentation and walk through the sculpture park
  • Elias (Ingvar Cronhammer) Visit at big scale land art
  • Dinner at hotel in Herning
Day 3 (Århus)
  • MOMU – Moesgaard archaeological museum (Henning Larsen) Visit, presentation and tour of the building
  • Dokk1 (Schmidt, Hammer & Lassen)
    Visit and presentation
  • Lunch
  • Århus Ø masterplan (C.F. Møller)
    Walk and presentation of future developments presented by chief city architect of Aarhus
Day 4
  • Aros – Aarhus Museum of Modern Art (Schmidt, Hammer & Lassen)
    Visit and presentation of buildings, including a visit at rooftop ‘sculpture’ by Olafur Eliassen
  • Ferry back to Sealand
  • Ragnarock – Museum for Rock, Pop & Youth Culture (Cobe) Visit, presentation and guided tour
  • Musicon area, Rabalder Park masterplan & landscape project (GHB Landskabsarkitekter)

  • End of tour at Copenhagen Airport
